Environment Art 2022
These are two of my most recent projects that I worked on, both being personal projects I did to practice and develop all the skills I've learned so far.
Aged Room
This is a personal project I worked on for about two months, utilizing skills I learned from school and previous project experiences. The goal of this project was to practice and improve at texturing and lighting. I used Maya to model all the assets, Painter to texture the assets, and Unreal Engine 4 to render the final scene. I mainly used tiling textures in order to texture larger assets like the walls, and used decals to add details such as tears and other damage to the walls and objects.
Forest Shrine
This was one of my first projects using Unreal Engine 4, and I wanted to create a scene centered around a building. I decided to go with a shrine, and used modular modeling techniques to build the structure inside of Maya. I then textured the shrine with a trim sheet I made, and brought the whole thing together in Unreal Engine. I also modeled and sculpted some stone tiles and statues to add to the scene, where I baked high poly sculpts into lower poly models to be used in game. The trees, grass, and other foliage were obtained from the UE marketplace to help add more detail to the environment.
