Dragon Sculpt
Hi-Res 3D Sculpt
Original by Zhelong Xu. This was a hi-res sculpt practice based on the original done in Zbrush and composited in Photoshop. I wanted to capture the majestic features in this sculpt, and added a terrain that I thought would fit together with the dragon.
Bellatrix
Game Character Model
This is a game-ready character model based on concept art by Myoungjin Shin.
The model was first sculpted in Zbrush. For objects like the bag and weapon, I had blocked the shape out in Maya first before bringing it back to Zbrush to sculpt it. Once the hi-res model was done, I brought it over to Maya to retopo it. It was then baked in Marmoset Toolbag, textured in Substance Painter and then brought back to Marmoset to be rendered. The total tris is about 73k, and all texture maps are 2k in size.
This model was a tough one, I knew that every detail was important, and I wanted to make sure it reflected the original 2D concept well. It was hard to nail down the proportions on this character, and the hair was tedious to place down. There are many things I would love to change, but overall, I’m really proud of it!
