Air Jordan 1 [UE5]
For this project, I wanted to learn and try out Unreal Engine to achieve realistic real-time renders.
For this project, I first started out by sculpting the primary shoe shape like the leather panels and the sole inside of Zbrush, after which I took it into Maya to retopo it, although I didn't need to retopo the shoelaces, as I created them inside of Zbrush using ribbon mesh, so they already had a pretty good topology. After finishing the retopo, I imported the low poly from Maya to Zbrush and added additional details like wrinkles and folds. After finishing the high poly sculpt in Zbrush, I exported the low poly and high poly from Zbrush and UVed the low poly model inside of Maya. Following, I did the high to low poly bake and texturing inside Substance Painter. Finally, I set up a scene inside Unreal Engine 5 with some shoes, lights and a floor plane with wooden panel material from the Quixel library.
