i tried to create something new

So There is the thing i joined this party pretty late i did the whole thing in 1 week
i collected very few references and i guess at the end i kind of did what my eye liked so not too many references to go over
Here is a very brief explanation of how i did all This
i started with simple blocking of assets i got from megascans to build kind of a base shapes and i made a very cool system inside Houdini where i only have to swap assets and play with the parameters to get this kind of 👇 smoothing effect
The great thing about the hand painted bg and assets are they looks hand painted and that imperfection is what I like to create by breaking the shapes and introducing shape imperfections
Here i tried to build a procedural snow texture and tried to replicate the painted look this need more research but i think by this Contest i learnt lot of things
By mixing techniques i learnt through this hole thing i tried to create this tree shader and it kind of worked
this where i got some confidence to go over this hole thing in a more artistic way
from here i just tried to go over the cool lighting and anime inspired stuff belive me this stuff super fun to do
after iterating over and over i ended up mixing these two ideas together and came up with the end result
i think this is as far as I can go in one week
