Mythic worldbuilding project
Some character, creature and prop design for the world of Mythic I’m creating
General Rudeaux
Eudes Louise Rudeaux is the leader of a religious militant expedition from the Monceaux kingdom. The Monceaux are threatened by creatures that took residence in their sewers, spreading diseases. Now they try to hunt these creatures down in pursuit of safety and justice. During this expedition, the general gets affected by a strange fungal infection.
This character is part of my personal interactive narrative project in which the player can choose to help or bother him. Resulting in either the somewhat friendly but stern Rudeaux or his aggressive infected counterpart.
Andreus Aphicus
Andreus is a student of natural sciences in the city of Calanthe. When the city is threatened by a foreign disease, he sets out to where the disease is believed to originate from to try and find it’s origin or the even cure.
This character is the main protagonist in my personal interactive narrative project.
Forest dweller
In the forests of Tullé, natives survive of the creatures that live there. Most of these creatures consist of plant-like materials, and the natives make use of almost any part of the animal they slay. Because some of the creatures are quite large, tough and resilient, they have wooden parts on string on their clothing that makes noises when they move. When hunting in a group, this can confuse the animal and makes it hard to pick a single target.
Tullian mansion
In the mountains of Tullé, rich natives build large houses that look as if they were formed by the hills themselves. The natives used most of the stone from within the hill and filled the rest up with wood from the nearby forests.
This building is part of my personal interactive narrative in where the setting can change. Some mockups of these changes are shown below.
Amborians
A species of humanoid plants are called Amborians. There are various different kind of Amborians, each with their own abilities and weaknesses.
Sun Amborians get most of their energy from sunlight. Their only eat very specific kinds of fruit and do not hunt.
Shadow Amborians thrive in dark places. Their skin gets easily burned by sunlight so they rarely step outside during the day. They use bioluminescence to communicate with each other, warn predators and lure smaller preys. Unfortunately they also often take residence in sewers, causing disease outbreaks in human populations.
Ordonwa are the most widespread Amborians because of their ability to use photosynthesis, armored skin and though bone-and-muscle-like structures. They live in large nests consisting of a tightly woven, very fast growing plant. The plant can grow this fast because Ordonwa leave a large portion of their food on the ground for it to grow.
