Horseshoe Courtyard Imagery

The above image was created from the perspective of a student reading in the shade provided by the vine screens. The image shows that the screens not only shade the occupants of the courtyard - they also provide shade for the building.

General digital modeling was done in SketchUp. Textures, lighting, and vegetation were then added in Lumion. Lastly, the images were populated and final edits were made in Adobe Photoshop. 

Process collage (above left) and final image (above right) show the evolution of the design concept. The digitally created visualization helped convey the design intent in a more tangible way than conventional drawing methods could represent.
