Flamboyant Fantasy Fashionista
My own character design modelled with the intend to rig/animate and use in Unreal Engine.
A flamboyant fantasy fashionista. My own character concept. The brief for the original project was to make a biped suitable for offline rendering but my plan is to make it a fledged out game asset. The model is currently at 27.160 tris without his cane.
Video below is of the high poly model posed and with displacement maps.
I started the project by finding references and concepting in photoshop. I then sculpted the high poly model in zbrush, brought it into Maya and made the low poly model with quad-draw as well as the UV's. I baked the high poly details onto the low poly model in Substance Painter and applied the normal maps to the low poly model back in Maya.
In the video below I removed the displacement maps and used normal maps contrary to the video above.
