a spooky encounter
you hear something weird in the hallway... it's heading towards your little child's room. thinking it's a robber, you grab your gun and go towards the sounds. unfortuantely for you it's something more sinister...
good day everyone, my name is Thomas and i make, unwrap and texture 3D models. i tried some environment building as well and am currently trying to improve on that
i hope to make a living from it someday, and can look back on how i improved, look at all the things i made and be proud.
the programs i use are: - maya for modeling and unwrapping
- substance painter for textures and renders
- twinmotion for environments
first off i want to show the thing i made specifically for this contest.
at first, i thought of what could be cool thing to do. So i thought of this scene where there's a monster inside someone's house, and the person is sneaking up to the monster. after i made the hand, monster, door and walls. (i made the gun as a project on it's own.) i had to decide what kind of room i should put them in.
after a nap i chose to make it play out in a kid's room, and even included the kid itself...but after adding lighting, the kid turned out to be scarier than the monster...
small props to test/inprove my skills and experiment with technique.
(apologies for the different sizes in the process view)
this little side project was made after i saw Ghost come to CoD warzone, and thought i'd try making a similar mask.
i gave it a little spin by making it "Día de Muertos" themed. afterwards i made it worn out to add some character.
i was inspired to make this one while i was reading a manga(i don't remember the name though).
in there it was described as some sort of gate to another realm.
i'm persoanlly a big fan of solo levelling, and so i took it upon myself to try and make the helmet of the blood red commander, Igris.
not the best one out there for sure, but i'm proud of it nonetheless.
one thing i really enjoy making, is weapons.
here are some of my personal favorites
for swords, i like to just start with no clear idea in my head and just make things up as i go, change some stuff up and just keepon building on it from there.
these 2 katanas were a set i made for me and a very close friend.
The idea behind it was: i want to make 2 swords for a boss battle with 2 bosses, cause she's without a doubt a boss.
not the first gun i ever made, but the best by far. (and the only one i textured)
you could call it my one of my best so far allthough i don't really like the handle.
and finally, i wanted to include this old render to kinda show how far i've already come.back then this was the thing i was the most proud of.
unlike the rest of my prortfolio, most of these assets aren't mine. i only altered them to make them look destroyed.
this was the first exercise i made on lighting and trying out booleans for the first time.(bookshelf in the back)
thank you for looking through my portfolio
i hope you have a great day :)
