Character and Environment Art - Madhurima Deshmukh
Hello! I'm Madhurima Deshmukh, a Character and Environment artist based in the USA. I've recently graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA Degree in Game Art. This entry contains some of my 4th-year projects, including characters, props, and environment.
Set in a fantastic and mythical setting, Empyrean is a 3rd person shooter game where Rakha is an invader looking to steal the power from 'The Sun Kingdom'. Rakha's concept is inspired by Hindu and Buddhist cultures. I focused on creating a balance between his human-like body and his beast-like facial features.
Software used: Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Unreal Engine 4. Created in 2021.
This is my senior thesis game 'Empyrean' created in collaboration with Sarah Benyona. We were each responsible for our levels.

Here are some Environment shots and rendered assets from my level. I was responsible for Visual development, asset making using Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter, and Level design and blueprinting in Unreal engine 4.
Created a Digital Sculpt of a monster with a lean stylized muscular human-like body and deformed monster head. Posed with a base and set props to give the feel of his environment.
Software used: Zbrush and Photoshop. Created in 2021.
