This is a limited collection of the bigger 3D projects I've been working on for the past year. Going from my very first low poly experience to a more challenging high poly assignment.

Hover car - based on 1971 De Tomaso Mangusta

This was a very big and at times challenging project for me. It was not only the first time using Autodesk Maya for high poly modeling, but I had to take into account materials, lighting and rendering as well. Even if it wasn't always as easy, I very much enjoyed the entire process of building this piece.

I got started from the blueprints and (a lot of) reference pictures from the De Tomaso Mangusta, a limited edition oldtimer from 1971. When I completed the full body of the car, I created a couple of engine designs only to finally integrate these into the rest of the car. After that I was able to experiment with different kinds of materials and lighting setups to create this final render.

Tiny house "The Elsa" in a forest - Diorama

This was my first full 3D project for Digital Arts and Entertainment, a project I really loved creating! The goal of this assignment was to pick a certain theme and to build a diorama consisting out of a house a numerous props that fit this theme perfectly. I went for a scene centered around the concept of an eco-friendly lifestyle, therefor I created a cozy tiny house in the center of the woods, accompanied by a calm river. The process of this workflow consisted out of modeling a low poly prop, texture it in Adobe Photoshop using photo textures and then put it all together in a small fitting diorama. We were only allowed to use textures for the albedo channel.

Thank you so much for having a look at my first Rookies entry! I cannot wait to come back next year to showcase how I improved in 2022!
