'Kaghati' Teaser | Indonesian Animated Short Film

A young girl visits her grandfather’s home in rural Indonesia for the first time, and through exploring her cultural roots and the kite-maker’s craft, they discover a new, exciting way to connect.

As we started this journey, our concept artist created multiple drawings of the house/environment helping the team visualize the directors’ ideas. We ended up using for the short film an exterior view of the house, and the workstation/garage. Concept art done by Alyssa Lee.

From concept drawings and character designs done by Alyssa Lee, we created the 3D models and look dev. 3D Models by Andreas Smidt, Textures and LookDev by Lorena Da Silva, Groom by Christian Rodriguez, and Rigs by Nathan Huseth.
