This is my World of Warcraft inspired model. My goal with creating this model, was to explore and try to apply a pipeline that a Blizzard character artist would go through. I learned a lot through making this, and I can't wait to apply all that to the next character.
This is my concept art for the model. I tried to combine the idea of a class that I would like to play in WoW with the theme of a Dragon.
The first step in the process was creating the Base Mesh, after that, I sculpted the High Poly Mesh in ZBrush.
I baked an AO, a Curvature & a Normal map.
Used these maps to create a base in Photoshop, and then hand-painted over it.
I did the same for the weapons.
These are the final textures hand-painted textures. The basis of this pipeline I learned from Fanny Vergne's tutorial on hand-painted tecxtures.
