Nobita's Room and Doraemon! - 2021
Hello, I'm Carlota! I'm currently studying Concept Art and Illustration on Lightbox Academy. I'm really excited to show this project I did this year when I was studying Autodesk Maya. I hope you all like it as much as I do!
Nobita's Room and Doraemon!
As an assignment from my 3d modeling class, I was asked to recreate a scene from anything I liked. I decided to model Nobita's Room and a Doraemon.
When I was little Doraemon was a series that I loved, and to this day it continues to do so. It made you want to dream about the future, but also that you need to make an effort in what you do so that the future is more within your reach. Or so I think, after all it was a children's series about a robot cat from the twenty-second century.
*This is a fanart, the concept of Doraemon and the itself series was created as a manga and later an anime by Fujiko F. Fujio, a pseudonym for Hiroshi Fujimoto.
Most of the materials are procedural, except for both the doors, books, eyes, etc. However, I think they are a lot of fun doing them, and if they go well, the result is much better than expected.
While doing this work, I found that I usually do test renders every two by three to check the mood and hype myself to keep going. It works.
While the entire project was done entirely with Maya 2020 and Arnold, for some textures and color fixing I ended up using the Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop respectively.
