Synopsis

In order to avoid further casualties of war, the gods of the Greek pantheon have decided to host a race every five-hundred years to resolve their various conflicts, the prize of which is a goblet touched by the hand of King Midas himself.

Over the years, the race has evolved from a simple footrace in the times of ancient Greece to the modern era's car race. This year, we interview four of the contestants who will be taking part; Zeus' hapless intern, Hera's clumsy assassin, Poseidon's hyperactive fish girl and Hades' very sad skeleton.

Despite their many different backgrounds, reasons for competing and occasionally species, each of these representatives of the gods has the same goal in mind. To be the next holder of the Midas Cup!

Brief

This fifteen week project was taken on by a team of students from the advanced 3D production course at Yoobee Colleges' Christchurch campus. We were given the open-ended task of creating, managing and completing a project of our choice over the course of a fifteen week timeframe. After much deliberation, we chose to create our own original, full animation from initial ideation to final composite.
