Isabella Martinez Luna - The Rookies 2019 Entry

The North Atlantic

I modeled this Pirate most recently for the past couple of months. (Aprox 70hrs total). I really pushed myself on getting his silhouette right as it was very important to me to get it as close as his concept art as possible, as well as his final pose. I also pushed myself to get his textures ready for production, as I want to eventually go into a career involving 3D Modeling and Look Development. I really had fun seeing this model come together after sculpting and texturing. Responsible for: Modeling, Texture, Rendering, Comp. Software Used: Maya, Zbrush, Mari, Mudbox, Arnold, Nuke. Concept by Cesar Vergara.

Breakdown

Mechanical Seahorse

Mechanical Seahorse based on the concept by Shaun Keenan. Responsible for modeling, rendering. Really wanted to focus on learning more hard surface techniques, I found the concept to be very fun to work with for that purpose.

Raven

Raven is one of my favorite characters from my childhood and it was very nice to be able to work on her look based on the concept by Gabriel Picolo. I wanted to take a mix between realism and stylized look for her. In this particular project I cleaned up her boots from a 3D scan data into a usable geo for production, it was a very useful method to learn! Responsible for modeling, rendering. Software Used: Maya, Zbrush, Arnold, Nuke.

Finn

This is Finn. I wanted to push this model to have a mix between realism and stylization; it was a challenge balancing both out and definitely learned a lot from this project. Responsible for modeling, rendering. Software Used: Maya, Zbrush, Arnold, Nuke. Concept by Kenny Jeong.
