Furniture Design for new era social distancing

The worldwide spread of COVID-19 has affected all our daily lives and has completely reformed our approach towards living. With social distancing being the fundamental need of the hour, our whole idea of the functionality of living, working and recreational spaces is getting questioned and self-sufficient, isolated places are becoming the new-age necessities. As the world is now slowly unlocking and adapting to life amidst a pandemic, designers are being called upon to rethink and reshape our built spaces to effectively cope with these unprecedented times. 

PW-POD stands for personal working pod.The main concept of PW-POD is in line with the new era-social distancing between each other. It is speciallydesigned for office users which allow them to work at office as usual meanwhile a safe distance is ensured.The concept of my design is inspired by the seating of the airplane while everyone is able to have a personal space on their seat in a limited space. The passengers are allowed to have their meal or drinks on their seat with a table which is foldable. This is very convenient and meets the requirement of avoiding interactation with others.
