Louboutin, a French luxury shoe label established by Christian Louboutin in 1991, is well known for its famous signature red sole. There are more than 70 boutiques spread across the world. Christian Louboutin has designed its font and the champagne boxes shows it is a French brand which represents fashion and noble.

To design a fashion boutique for Christian Louboutin at Unit 2.22.00-2.23.00, L2 & L3 at Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur. The built-up floor area of this unit is 1717 square feet. The design capsualizes the image of Christian Louboutin which is well-known of the red color symbolize it’s engaging, flirtatious, memorable, and the color of passion. The design is going for a French Neo-Classical concept which executes mystic and dazzling feeling of Christian Louboutin. Christian Louboutin’s red-heeled pumps are an unmistakable fashion statement. The flash of color — a bold scarlet — instantly declares that a woman isn’t just wearing heels, she’s wearing Louboutins. The influential industry journal Footwear News noted that Louboutin’s trademark red soles were a “subtle status symbol” and were far more alluring than the overt branding of the big-name luxury brands. Differing stories had been offered for the origin of the coloured soles, but Louboutin said that the hue was inspired by an assistant’s red nail polish. He decided to use red on all his soles, reasoning that “red is more than a colour. It is a symbol of love, of blood, of passion.” Although his passion has always been about creating beautiful designs, Louboutin said what matters most is how women feel about themselves when they step into his shoes. From this I developed a mind map starting from the brand’s signature high heels with red bottoms itself which lead me to three keywords: bold, curve and slim. Christian Louboutin is well-known of the red color because it’s engaging, flirtatious, memorable, and the color of passion. I have developed the three keywords that would be incoporated into the interiors of the store. First of all is BOLD which could be seen from the use of colors and materials in its interiors. Red is used widely in the interiors such as the carpets, where the color red accentuates the sexy feeling of a woman’s high heels. Secondly would be the CURVES of the heels that could be related to a silhouette of a woman. And this connects with the last keyword which is SLIM, which could be shown in the interiors of the shop through the sleek shape and materials.
