Hi! My name is Keith Lim, I am from Singapore and i am an aspiring 3D artist. I am pursuing an Advanced Diploma in 3D Game Art/Design right now and will graduate in may of 2022 if all goes to plan. This is my entry for Rookie Awards 2021! Have a look!
Prop 1: Medieval Canon

I tried to replicate it to the best of my abilities, applied a turbosmooth to the barrel at a later stage because i did not like how it turned out in marmoset viewer. Final product turned out really well! i got good feedback from my lecturers!

Once again, tried replicating, ended up changing a couple of things and improving certain shapes and added a couple of new details/items (small flasks & ground) to make it look prettier. I'm happy with the way it turned out!

Prop 3: Curious Little Robot

This Prop/character was originally given to me as a personalized test by my lecturer Holger and i was instructed to replicate the best i could 1:1. After completing it, i went back and improved it, added things along the way to make the robot convey a more convincing expression (in this case, curiousity) and some smaller details like a slightly drained water tank, an inlet valve for water and a front facing light for some functionality. I love how cute and curious it looks!

Character 1: "Fritz" Futuristic PC Assistant concept

Saw this piece on Artstation and i knew i had to attempt this. I Started this project with the intention to replicate it 1:1 but once again ended up changing placements and functionality of items in this piece. In the end, really happy with how this one turned out!

Character 2: Genji (Blackwatch skin)
I'm sure everyone who plays video games recognizes this character! (Genji from Overwatch) Since this was the first every 3D character i've ever done, i think it turned out better than i would ever imagine. i went through a ton of trouble and hurdles in the process of bringing this character to life. The character was rigged with Adobe Mixamo. I was also able to squeeze in a quickly done diorama for the character to stand in and some compositions edited in photoshop! It was so satisfying to finally complete and submit it. The topology is not perfect but i am for once proud of myself for what i've done. I hope you guys appreciate it!
