Hi everyone! I'm Lorena, a spanish 3D Artist and painter based in Madrid. After studying fine arts at the UCM I decided to widen my education doing a MA in 3D with Autodesk Maya at Trazos Academy for VFX. For the Rookie Awards, I have picked up some of the works I have done during my MA. Hope you guys like it!

'Welcome Home' - 3D Short film

I created the shortfilm 'Welcome Home' as the final project for my master in 3D with Autodesk Maya at Trazos, Madrid. I was in charge of all aspects, from concept to render and final compositing - the only thing I wasn't able to do myself was the character animation of the second shot, for which a fellow 3D animator helped me out.

I find there's still a few things I could improve, but I learned so much doing this project that I'm glad I was able to carry it out all by myself and achieve a final result that I could feel satisfied with.

Software used: Maya, Arnold, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Mari, Substance Painter & Designer, Photoshop and Nuke.

3D Orc Model

I've always loved fantasy-like characters and criatures, so I created this orc bust to have finally have a fintasy character on my demoreel. I spent my free time during a couple of weeks working on it, and I was responsible of all aspects, from concept to final compositing.

Software used: Maya, Arnold, Zbrush, Substance painter and Nuke.

Shark Lover

For one of my first works in 3D, I decided to work on an stylized cartoon character. As a reference, I used a the lovely concept 'Shark Lover' by Betty Sourigues @artbettys.

3D Environment Design

One of the first projects I had to work on during my MA at Trazos (Madrid), was the creation of a full CG environment. I decided to try out working with a Sci-fy aesthetic, and eventough I've learned a lot since I created this first CG environment I still love it!

Software used: Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Nuke
