Abandoned Arcade
My final year project at Univeristy of Worcester. For the environment I wanted to focus on lighting, storytelling and textring. This has been a challenging but I definitely enjoyed and learned a lot from this journey!
Abandoned Arcade
The Abandoned Arcade is inspired by Chernobyl and Abandoned Arcade in Fukushima near a nuclear power plant. For this environment I really wanted to focus on the lighting, storytelling and texturing to give the abandoned feel. Considering this is a dark environment, I knew the lighting would be challenging for me. It was also my first time using Unreal Engine 4.

Assets
Dance Machine
Out of all assets the dance machine was one of my biggest focus since it's a hero asset. I really wanted to focus on the details, the texturing was done in Substance Painter. I gathered decals and used a lot of alphas to fake the details. Since I wasn't very experienced in Substance Painter, it took the longest to texture. The same process was then applied to the rest of the arcade machine.
Materials + Trim Sheet
Process
Short summary - Process I used to create the gasmask, normal edge decals and trimsheet. To create the normal edge decals I used Leonardo Lezzi's method and I followed Polygon Academy to create the trimsheets.
