Kartografi is my final project done at Vancouver Film School, where I worked through the entire pipeline from design and previz, to modeling, surfacing, lighting and comp. C'est La Vie was done when I was waiting for my renders to finish in the last 2-3 weeks of school.
Kartografi & C'est La Vie: The Future That Disappeared
KARTOGRAFI is a project about a woman named Isabella Bird, who is travelling the world as a cartographer and mapping it as she goes. The goal was to design a character and the props she would use and execute those designs to life in 3D, and the challenge was to bring all of it in to the same world with believable textures and lighting.
C’est La Vie: The Future That Disappeared: Set in an alternate reality from our own where robots are a bigger part of our lives. Definitely inspired by the 1980's.
