The Prince
The prince is based on a Norwegian fairytale called The Giant Who Had No Heart in His Body, and I couldn't find any good visual representations of the main character, so I figured I would do it justice :).

For the crown details I had optimization in mind, and decided to use an opacity mask to get this high level of detail. In the first image, you can see that I used the masking tool in ZBrush to draw out the desired pattern. After that, I extracted the high poly mesh, and since extracting gives you polygroups for each edge, I ran a polish by groups function in the deformation menu to get rid of the aliased edges. Lastly, I dropped the meshes into Marmoset Toolbag 4 where I baked the alpha mask! Easy peasy :)
