CIRCUS ON A BEACH

CIRCUS ON A BEACH - Artist: Nao Tokunaga

I created three paintings to show environments of the circus on a beach, an interior of a backstage, an exterior of the circus and a location where people see a performance. Each painting includes key storytelling moments so I hope you can feel the overall mood and emotion of the story.

Story

Rina is a circus performer who was very excited to perform with her friends. The venue was on a beach, on a very peaceful tropical island. When they were about to enter the stage, they ran into a beautiful mermaid on the backstage who was very sad because she couldn't go back to the ocean. Rina and her friends sympathized with the mermaid and decided to help her go back to the ocean, but it led the circus to chaos.

Rina tried to get a key for the mermaid from an antagonist during the performance.

Final Piece - EXTERIOR 

Rina and her friends are finally escaping from the circus with the mermaid.
