After finishing my water fx course on Rebelway, I wanted to create a nice shot combining flips and volumes. So after watching the amazing missile launch shot from MI:4 I decided to try to recreate it.
Water fx breakdown
I've rendered the droplets from the flip sim as volumes to add more detail to the whitewater.
I've created 4 different volume simulations, one for the missile trail, and the rest for the combustion as it launches.
In this personal project, I wanted to try to export the chocolate sim from Houdini to Maya and render it using Arnold.
This is the result of one of the shots I did while I was coursing the water fx course from Rebelway. The main problem I faced was the long render times, I still had my old pc and after rendering for 2/3 weeks 12h per day, I ended up using a cloud render farm.
