Knife Model & Scene Lighting of Our Gift (2021)

I am one of the Technical Directors who worked on the short film "Our Gift". This film was our final production project at Media Design School. This film was made by 7 members of our group, dubbed Higher Us Studios. The following entries highlight my personal contributions to the film in regards to modelling, surfacing, lighting and compositing.

This clip shows a turntable of the creation process for the cultist knife, as well as images showcasing the model & surface of the knife. Concept arts, modelling and surfacing were done by me. In addition, the final image shows a close up shot of the knife from the film.

This particular shot is a highlight of the knife within the context of our short film. It shows the highest point of tension in our film, as Lily (the little girl) is about to be stabbed by the cultist. Lighting, rendering and compositing for this shot was done by me. For Lily, her character is modelled and textured by Peter Mork Bednarz (TheOrangeArtist), and rigged by Ingrid Yuliana Ramos Uc (YulianaRamos). For the cultist, their character is modelled by Ingrid Yuliana Ramos Uc, rigged by Peter Mork Bednarz and surfaced by Chholyda Seang (Chholyda). Overall, this shot was animated and edited by Demetrios Kourti (demetriosKourti), and final grade was done by Nishanth Jk (nishijk93).
