Hello! This is my first entry for The Rookie Awards 2021. These are my proudest 3D works/project I have created during my education at Nanyang Polytechnic, School of Design & Media, Animation Diploma in Singapore. Currently still learning, improving, and enjoying the process. I hope you enjoy it!

Alien Invasion

3D Maya V-Ray Render

I really enjoyed texturing this Alien Invasion scene. I went for a semi-realistic style, referencing from Overwatch. I wanted to have a chaotic scene with UFOs in the sky, and battle bots shooting out lasers. This could be a really cool environment for a game! I took free 3D assets online, placed the objects in a nice composition, and textured the whole scene from scratch with Maya V-Ray render. Z-Depth was done in Nuke.

Still Life

This is a realistic still-life texture scene I created. I took free 3D assets online, placed the objects in a nice composition, and textured the whole scene from scratch. I composited the light rays and Z-Depth in Nuke. I am quite satisfied with the outcome! I wanted this to look peaceful with a touch of fun and mystery with the addition of tarot cards, potion bottles, and crystals. Maybe a fairy or a witch could be living in this space.

Evil Science Lab

3D Maya V-Ray Render

This is a realistic science-lab texture scene. I took free 3D assets online, placed the objects in a nice composition, and textured the whole scene from scratch. To make this seem like an evil science lab, I made sure that the environment is dirty and rusty. The green potion in the flask also symbolizes evil and toxicity. I composited the light rays and Z-Depth in Nuke. I believe I have plenty of room to improve on. However, I am still happy with the final results.

Battle Angle

3D ZBrush & Maya Model

Battle Angel is my first 3D sculpture/model I've made on ZBrush. Everything was modeled from scratch. I referenced fully from a 2D art done by another artist. I modeled the gears/armor in Maya. The skirt was done using N-cloth in Maya. Rendered the model in ZBrush. I'm quite happy with the results, although there are many places I could improve on!
