A seemingly gigantic spaceship crashes towards earth, but things are not always as they seem.
Our goal was to create a photorealistic public service announcement style advert about misinformation. We then present a familiar concept that you have probably seen before and likely already know what will happen, but then comically subverting your expectations in the last shot, following with on-screen information at the end. Misinformation is an ever-present issue that can have serious consequences, especially now, so we wanted to make a current and relevant short film that comments on that.
This project was a twelve-week project between ten third-year undergraduate visual effects students at Escape Studios in London. This short was produced entirely remotely with one day outside filming adhering to UK covid regulations at the time.
