My first year in the Archviz world

by stockhausarchviz on 21 May 2021 for Rookie Awards 2021

In September 2020 I opened 3Ds Max for the first time, I had never worked with 3D before and I really struggled with something as simple as turning an object. It's now 8 months later and look where I'm at! I can tell you that I'm not struggeling with turning objects any more.

The Renovation Project

The assignment was to pick an apartment ad online and renovate two rooms.

With photos and floor plans from the ad as a basis, I created my own visualizations to show the home's potential.

The kitchen is modeled by me, the appliances and furniture are not.
In this project I used 3Ds Max, Corona Renderer and Photoshop.

And this was the moodboard:

The Hotel

As a group we took decisions together to create a concept for a hotel on the North Island of New Zealand. All three had one room each, they had to match and and clearly see it was the same hotel. I had the lobby.

So welcome to mãhaki hotel, a calm place for you to recharge in between your many adventures in the nature around the island.

During the project we had meetings with the "client"(our teachers) and as you can see down below it changed quite a bit depending on the "client's" opinions and wishes.

Here you can see all three images from the hotel. The restaurant made by Malin Wendel and the guest room made by Klara Johansson.

In this project we used 3Ds Max, Corona Renderer and Photoshop.

From Drawing to Render

This is my first exterior project, starting with a drawing from Autocad, using only Forest Pack for vegetation and learned to use RailClone. It had to be during a sunny day and fit for a house ad.

And here is an extra one:

In this project we used 3Ds Max, Vray Render and Photoshop.
