
Game Environment & Game FX Show Reel

Hi everyone, I'm Chen, a graduate student from SCAD and majored in Visual Effects and Game Development. Here is a demo reel of my recent real time environment and real time FX works Welcome any feedbacks. Hope you like it!
LOST KINGDOM
This is a rencent personal project. All aspects in Houdini and Unreal Engine. I use a lot of techniques I learned in Rebelway realtime FX workshop. I use Houdini to create large scale terrain, the RBD simulation and the pyro simulation. Creating layer materials in Unreal. The tree, the bush and the rock is based on the scatter point in Houdini. Convert the smoke to flipbook texture and use Niagara to recreate the smoke in Unreal.
CYBERPUNK CITY
This is a real-time game environment I create in Houdini and Unreal Engine. I use procedural technique in Houdini to create different shapes of buildings. Use Houdini Terrain tool to create the terrain shape and scatter different type of building on it. Use houdini engine to import the hda to unreal. Creat different material and lighting and get the final result
