Trehena, the forest fairy

Hi, she is Trehena, a magical forest fairy, 3D stylized game character sculpted in Zbrush and put in unreal engine 4. I hope you enjoy watching the same way that I enjoyed creating it.

As you can see this is a playable character, and the workflow that I used is the same I learned in the school for creating video games, in this case a character.

The first step was searching reference, but at the beginning the first idea was made a warrior character, not a fairy, anyway I kept some wing reference.

The face was the last part of the sculpting that I did, but you can see the model with eyes, because in the first idea the horns would be in the front of the head, not in the eyes.

The hair was modeled in 3D studio max, I did a base mesh of a tree leaf, and then create instances around the head, later I put the details of the same mesh in Zbrush.

All the base color was created in Zbrush with polypaint, and later I used Substance Painter for created the other channels; roughness, ao, emissive... becasue the wings have emissive, not too much, but a bit.

One of the more important points in this character was think about how I can put the tree root detail and make it stylized, just I picked up the standard brush on Z and start enjoy.

The wings and hair was modeled in 3D Max and later I used Z for finish some details.
