Game Modeling
Assignments completed in the 1-year Game Art diploma at 3dsense Media School
Game Character - Crow Summoner
Concept by Hyeyoung Kim
The goal of this project was to create a game ready character. I picked this concept as it had a mixed of hard and organic shapes with different materials. I wanted to test myself to understand my strengths and weaknesses in modelling better. I started in ZBrush and retopologize in Maya to texture in Substance Painter. The render was done in Marmoset.

Hires Character - Fierra the Vampire
Concept by Banjiu E'vik
This piece was the most challenging to me as her anatomy was a fusion of creature and human. Her leg structures felt very foreign and needed a lot of research to help myself visualise it. As this project had a tighter deadline, I decided to focus on the overall look. This project was done with only ZBrush and composited in Photoshop.
Game Environment - Polio Ward
Concept by Joseph Nickson
The biggest project I did in school using UE4. I learned about the many different ways textures can be implemented in the materials through the engine, ensuring asset textures fit into their budgets. Our end goal was to ensure the environment was at a playable FPS so I created LODs as well.

Figure Drawings and Studies
Before we begun sculpting characters, we learnt about the human anatomy from the inside out. Bodies were broken down to simpler shapes and forms. Followed by identifying muscles alongside their names and functions. We also had figure drawing sessions. I really enjoyed them as it feels refreshing to draw after spending hours on modelling. It also helped me to practice more anatomy. I like to clean up my figure drawing digitally as I find it easier to control my line thickness with the stylus due to my weak grip.
