Imagining that Edith Piaf lives nowadays.

The past always influences the present and can't be separated from that.  This thought came to my mind and developed the idea for my final year project at university.

To emphasize this concept, I decided to mix classic and modern styles and produce an interior for French singer Edith Piaf, imagining her living nowadays. The choice of character also connected two time periods narratively  and referenced back to the concept of the project.  

One of the main goals was to achieve great images in terms of composition and lighting. Whether it worked out or not, you judge :)

Also, I did a little material study to explore the process of creating realistic fabrics in V-Ray (silk, lace, wool, velvet), since I found fabric materials the most complicated to recreate.
