Sophie has over ten years of experience in visual effects. After completing a course at Escape Studios UK, she started her journey at DNEG. While there, Sophie worked in multiple departments as a Matchmove Artist, Layout Technical Director, Creature Effects Technical Director and Generalist Technical Director. During Sophie’s time as an artist, she worked on exciting projects such as John Carter of Mars, Inception, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, Godzilla, Hercules, Man of Steel, Thor: The Dark World, Terminator Genisys and Inferno. She later moved to DNEG’s Vancouver studio and took on various leadership roles within Talent Management. Recently she worked at Industrial Light & Magic as a Senior Talent Manager. She is passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Sophie was involved in many programs and initiatives to support a gender-balanced and more diverse industry. Currently, Sophie is part of Electronic Arts (EA) in the Tools and Technology team as a development director.
