More than 20 years ago I began my career in VFX after dropping out for Wellington Design School to gain some real-world experience in the film industry. Thanks to landing a job at Weta Digital on my dream project, The Fellowship of the Ring, I never went back to finish my design degree. After 18 years working in the paint, compositing and lighting departments at Weta I moved on to Montreal for two years for a change of scenery. Now I’m back in New Zealand thanks to Covid19.
