Cheri Fojtik has been a texture artist in the visual effects industry since 2010, where she landed her first Visual Effects gig at Rhythm and Hues Studios in Los Angeles. She started as junior artist and worked her way up to lead within three years. Notable films include Life of Pi, RIPD, and Snow White and the Huntsman.

Cheri then found herself at ReelFx in Dallas, Texas where she contributed to the animated feature, Book of Life. Missing visual effects, she moved back to California to work on Tomorrowland and various other projects at Industrial Light & Magic in San Francisco. These ventures helped Cheri to gain the experience and knowledge necessary to land in her current role, as Texture Lead at Image Engine Design in Vancouver, BC.

Her duties at Image Engine include painting high quality texture maps for creatures, digi doubles, props and environments for film and television. Recent work includes Logan, Fantastic Beasts and Game of Thrones. In addition to painting her own work, she leads a team of texture artists for every show and helps bid for upcoming work as needed. She works closely with all other departments, helping with tool development and testing of new software packages and workflows. Most importantly, she is focused on being an integrated part of the team to help produce the outstanding visual effects that Image Engine is known for.
