The 10th Annual Rookie Awards is open to young creatives in visual effects, animation, games, virtual reality, motion graphics and 3d visualisation. There is simply no better way to launch your career and start sharing your amazing work online.
Studio Internships | Outpost VFX (Canada)
Outpost provide services to the film and advertising industry include concept design, VFX supervision, previz and of course 3D and 2D animation and compositing for both animation and visual effects. Their team are dedicated and experienced artists and programmers covering the wide gamut of moving image disciplines. They have gained a reputation for adding enormous creative value to each of the projects they have worked on.
This amazing opportunity is open to aspiring visual effects artists. The aim is to help artists kick start their career, working amongst renowned artists and gaining valuable insight into the working life in the VFX industry.
The winner will receive feedback from experienced artists on their work, developing their knowledge of the VFX pipeline and will be evolving their skill set on some of the most exciting film projects in production.
Eligibility
- Must be motivated to work in the Visual Effects industry.
- Must be able to complete the internship during the second half of 2020.
- Must legally be allowed to work in Canada. (Working visa not provided).
Requirements & Deliveries
- You must create a single entry page that includes all your best work. Do not create multiple entries with single projects as you will be disqualified.
- Include strong examples of architectural visualisation work in your entry.
Judging Criteria
The judges are looking for artists that are ready for the challenges of production. The judges will be considering your overall presentation, technical skills, creative skills, variety of content, and employment potential. Treat your entry like a job interview. You have one page to show how amazing your skills are.
