Since the first time I open the 3ds max, I hear a voice in my mind: "That's it! That's what I'm looking for!!" And I never stopped after that. I've been working on a 3D visualization studio for some years, and now I'm looking for a chance to do what I love most, characters.

I've always knew that my dream career was in art. I had always worked in 2D, doing graphic design, drawing, and photography. Around 6 years ago I took the plunge into 3D game art and I've been pursuing a career as an environment artist ever since.

The first time I started drawing was at age 7-8, my parents got me a Mickey Mouse Projector and I remember spending hours and hours with it, also I played with videogames more than I should. As I grew older, I moved away from this "hobby" and ended up focusing more on health sciences. It was when I entered the degree of Medicine, two year ago , when I realized that what I really wanted was create. Even though that the world of Art is not as stable, I made the decision to be part of the 3d.

My whole life I was fascinated about visual stunning films but never thought that it would be possible for me to start a career in this industry. 2 years ago when I first realised that there are Visual-Effects-Schools out there I instantly knew that I want to be a part of something bigger than me and to work in a team to create those moving pictures I was captivated by.

David Hartmann - Environment Artist

I have been in the creative domain my entire life. I have worked in various industries from Audio production to Motion Graphics. About a year ago I decided to follow my life-long dream of working in the Games Industry and becoming the best environment artist I can.

I was always interested in character design, drawing day in day out.I had a very technological upbringing where arts were just a "hobby". I just did not realize I could make a career out of this, until I started looking for universities. I visited an open day at an art academy and saw that making those characters actually is a job! The film and games industry is a perfect combination between technology and arts.

Well, since I was very little I loved playing videogames and I always admired the people behind it,because I didn't understand how they make such a realistic model or game. Then a few years ago I decided that I wanted to be in that world and after studying and seeing all the process of a videogame I finally decided to make 3D characters and art.

I've always loved drawing and to be creative but it wasn't until a few years back when I tried Zbrush for the first time, then I realized I wanted to do this as my work-

Pretty much after my graduation at high school. First I studied Art & Technology in the Netherlands and worked after that 2 years in different film productions. But I realized that I want to work more creative and also in 3D. Now I am almost graduated at PIXL VISN media arts academy. My passion are cars and product advertisement.

well. It is start from my secondary school. But before this, I quite like to draw, make hand-craft. What makes me really get in to this industry is when I was 13 years old, I watched a feature animated movie, which is "How to Train your Dragon". It was so amazing and I wish to become one of the part of the production team.

I have been in contact with arts since i can remember. Always loved to draw but was until i went to collage that I discovered digital arts and I instantly knew that I wanted to do that! Later discovered Zbrush and digital sculpting and never stopped since then!

Stellan Joerdens

Hi, my name is Stellan Joerdens and I am specialize in Modeling, Sculpting, Texturing and Shading. Because I was fascinated by the visual effects from big blockbuster films and series, I started growing the wish to do such things on my own. I was always interested in creatures, so I continued my education, after finishing a 3D school, at home doing self-studies by joining online courses to obtain skills in highly detailed, realistic organic and hard surface modelling and texturing.

12-year-old me was obsessed with game cinematics in Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. I'd constantly redraw scenes as a personal challenge to be able to 'produce' something of that aesthetic. At the end of high school, I had an idealistic desire to contribute to building the industry that most of the people I knew thought was non-existent. But I went to study Science out of convention, only to return and give in to the nagging curiosity as to how far I could explore 3D and push my love for art.

The main reason that made me jump into this field were movies. The first movie that affected me was "Avatar." The mystery forest from the movie was fascinating and kept me surprised. The second one was "Iron Man" series. The most impressive thing was Stark's various ways to wear his Iron man suits. I loved every detail from the movies. Watching movies has been my favorite thing, and I want to experience how movies are made in the future.

When I was young I dreamed of becoming a professional artist, but deep down I thought that art could only ever be my hobby. After a few years working in a non-creative field, I decided to go in a different direction and returned to my original plan of becoming a professional artist! I taught myself 3D art from a combination of different online resources, and while I'm not in the industry yet, I like to think I'm on my way. I aim to create compelling game characters and props that tell a story.

I believe, it occured sometimes in 2016, just graduated my highschool as electro-mechanic.. Shortly after I realised is not right thing for me - following my childish intuition, I knew that I have no other choice than to do art.

Staying up late every night drawing, I had always wanted to be involved in the arts in some shape or form. However it wasn't until after I took an introduction in 3D Rendering course that I realized the power of computer graphics as another medium and how deeply related it was to my love for films and games.

I think all started when I was a kid, I have always been involved with art, my mom said that I used to play with clay, puzzles, painting and drawing. But, when I was 9 years old, I used to play video games with my cousin everyday after school. Guitar Hero, Resident evil 4 and God of war, made me feel that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Also all the animated movies of that time, I was a little curious about how they were made.

I always loved to draw and play games as a kid, but only when i was 20 i realised i wanted to work in the entertainment industry, after watching a few making ofs about games and animations and learn about 3d softwares, i decided to study CG art and pursue my passion.

Back in school I discovered my love of anything and everything 3D and knew I wanted to pursue something within that field. Although it took me trying a bit of everything before I finally decided to specialise in 3D modelling/Texturing.

When did I realize I wanted to work in the creative industry? Actually, right after school. Oh. Did you expect a touching story about 'how I always dreamed of becoming an artist'? Nah fam, it's literally just 'Hey, school's over. Now, what should I do for a living? Let's work in videogames!' And that's it. Any regrets? Not at all.
