One of my earliest memories is of my older brother showing me an episode of Spongebob Squarepants, which hooked me into an obsession with all things related to entertainment. When I was around 12 or 13 years old, I became deeply rooted in the world of animation. I was drawn in by tv shows at the time which opened my mind to the possibilities of storytelling, particularly Cartoon Network's "Adventure Time". I knew ever since that I wanted to be a part of the animation community.

I always liked 2D frame by frame animation as a kid, and also grew into indie comics and storytelling. There wasn't a specific point that I realised I wanted to, I always did as soon as I knew how to hold a pencil

As a kid, I loved watching all the behind-the-scenes features that showed the people and the process behind the animated films and shows I enjoyed. Seeing the inner workings of animation made me realize that it was an actual career I could take on. I love creating characters and telling stories because it's such a powerful tool for growing as a person! I strive to create work that is squash-and-stretchy and exaggerated, but heartfelt and meaningful at the same.

I first realized I wanted to work in the creative media and entertainment industry when I decided to go to SCAD. I knew that I needed to make a living drawing and wouldn’t settle for anything less. After learning about animation I decided to give it a try and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Being surrounded by other creatives who want to share their passion for what they do has been so influential and led me to discover my passion for storyboarding.

When I was in 1st grade I had an activity ask what I wanted to do when I grow up and I wrote down I want to make cartoons and games. I was always infatuated with children’s educational media. Things like jumpstart learning games, PBSKids, Mr.Rodgers, and many children’s animated shows. Public access allowed for children from all walks of life and classes have a chance at early developmental education. I want to gift that chance to a new generation.
