McDonald is Co-Founder of The Rookies and responsible for all Design, Technology & Operations of the company. Having worked in the Visual Effects and Animation industry since 2002, McDonald brings a wealth of experience across from his time working as an Industrial Designer, Animatronics Specialist, and Full-Stack Web Developer. McDonald most recently worked at Industrial Light & Magic as a CG Supervisor. Previous to this, McDonald has worked for studios such as Animal Logic, Ambience Entertainment, and MPC London. McDonald’s credits include Transformers: Bumblebee, Happy Feet, Harry Potter 4/5/6, Watchmen, The LEGO Movie, Suckerpunch, 10000 BC, The Chronicles of Narnia, Sweeney Todd, Fred Claus, Australia, Knowing, Legend of the Guardians, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D and countless high profile development projects.
