Whether is was watching my mother draw Mickey Mouse on napkins at restaurants; my grandmother and I watching Pinocchio on a Thursday mornings; viewing Up after my grandfather passed away and seeing him in Carl; the specificity of it all astounded me. This sense of character specificity and relatability is what inspired me to study animation.
