Rookie of the Year – Winner
NICK LADD

My name is Nick Ladd, I’m a 3D animation student with a background in Illustration and a passion for exploring and creating things.   I discovered VR as an art tool last year and have been using it to produce 3D paintings and Animations ever since.  As a new art medium, it really appealed to me because so much about it was unexplored and it combined what I have been learning in 3D with what I had learned in Illustration. It has allowed me to explore with boundless freedom and pass on my discoveries to others.

Rookie of the Year – Runner Up
Brooke Routh

I grew up wanting to be a vet. I always loved video games, but helping animals was my passion. I trained and showed my dogs, bred reptiles and worked with horses. It wasn’t until mentoring under a doctor at an office for a year that I realized that isn’t what I wanted to do with my life.

Really good. Very different stuff on show and some really interesting ideas in this new field. Things are looking good for VR/AR in the future.
