Rookie of the Year – Runner Up
Thomas Van Nuffel

I’m a Technical Artist with a background in development. I recently completed my course in Digital Arts and Entertainment at Howest in Belgium specialising in Game Graphics. The point where development and art meet is usually where I hang out experimenting and learning everything I can get my hands on. I have a specific interest in anything using procedural generation to create visuals.

Judges Comments

A very high bar again. It’s getting harder and harder every year to narrow it down and pick winners. It’s a very tough competition and I congratulate all who take part and I hope they all keep going with their art, there is so much potential on display here.
Steven Manship
This years finalists really stood out from the impressive amount of entries we received this year. They’ve clearly raised the bar for next years contest!
Scott Mitchell
Robin has production ready assets. I’d expect to see some more break up of the image but I love it. I like that you are also doing concept artwork. It makes a great combo.
Glauco Longhi
I know and love all of them. All of them are extremely talented guys and girls.
Kirill Tokarev

For students they all have amazing knowledges, they can already create crazy worlds by themselves. Keep going!
